![]() So obviously, it is possible for an addon scenery package to insert its airports into FSX's ATC windows and maps. It also shows up on the map as an airport, with runway numbers, elevations and lengths. Barths is notorious for its steeply sloped runway, which is more-or-less accurately reproduced in that scenery package, and that airport shows up in "nearest airports" despite the fact that it only has a Multicom frequency for announcing position and intentions. I have Fly Tampa's "Maarten- Complete" package, which includes Princess Juliana, St. With all due respect, that is not a solution, nor is it even a valid reason for KAVX's invisibility. I read a previous thread (dated in 2012) on this subject, which says the invisibility of Aerosoft's KAVX is (paraphrasing) FSX's fault because FSX doesn't recognize sloped runways. It is available in FSX's Airport Selection and Flight Plan windows, and ATC properly cleared me to it on an IFR plan out of Ontario International. This pretty much renders it useless as an airport. ![]() The Catalina airport (KAVX) is missing from the ATC window's "Nearest Airports" list and does not show any airport or runway information on the map.
